Star Trek fans remember the Slingshot Effect.
The crew used this technique when the Enterprise was running out of fuel. They would expend ALL their fuel heading towards a large heavenly body for a close fly-by, using gravitational force to fling them out the other side towards their destination.
So, how could we use this technique in our lives?
It would help to know our destination. Regardless of the details unique to our lives, we're all heading towards the same ultimate destination: death.
